A member asked:

Hi, if i have inflammation and fusion on my sacril joints, does that mean i have sacraillitis and could this also be ankylosing spondylitis if there is inflammation and fusion on the vertebrates and costovertebral joints thanks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

These findings are suspicious of ankylosing spondylitis. There is appropriate treatment & testing for it which includes the HLA-H27 gene( which may or may not be present) & for inflammatory markers. A rheumatologist is best to evaluate, advise, treat and follow you.
