A 61-year-old male asked:
Breast mri; new bilateral foci of nonmass nodular enhancement. focal 5mm nodular enhancement in upper out quadrant of right breast, and 0.8mm at 12:00 of left breast. i am scared this is cancer. post-menopausal and high risk. what area odds in both?

By Radiopaedia: in general, a substantial minority of non-mass enhancement proves to be malignant 3-5. Second-look breast ultrasound is prudent to look for a correlate that can be targeted for ultrasound-guided rather than MRI-guided breast biopsy.
