A member asked:

My doctor told me that my lymph nodes feel fine and not enlarged. then she said that there likley due to my anatomy. but if my nodes arnt enlarged then can't they only be due to my anatomy so why would she have said likley?

Nodes are scattered throughout the body & usually detectable when not buried under tissue or fat. The neck and head are a common site for easy detection. Resting nodes are commonly about 1cm in size but can go to work occasionally clensing the serum and double in size for 6 weeks or so before shrinking some.

You can watch and wait as there does not seem to be an urgent issue. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
