A member asked:

Can left ventricular hypertrophy be reversed naturally?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

LVH can be reversed but it takes effective treatment of the cause & takes a long time. The ultimate goal is also to reduce LV mass, left atrial size & improve diastolic dysfunction. Treatment of hypertension, especially with ACE inhibitors combined with other meds is an example. Repair of longstanding heart valve abnormalities probably can only reverse some of the LVH though.
