A member asked:

Are you supposed to brush the part of your gums that is outside of the gum line? i know youre supposed to brush the gum line, but do you also brush the rest of the gum surface? or is it treated more like the inner cheeks?

Brush where the gum line meets the tooth and you should be fine. Don't forget to floss.

You want to massage and stimulate your gums by brushing all the gum surface. Food, or debris can get stuck under your cheeks, so brushing the whole area will remove particles and keep the gums healthy.
