A member asked:

Is it possible to have a fibrous tumor or fibrosis in milk duct? had a biopsy done on growth within milk duct. results came back negative for papilloma, atypical cells & malignancy. it showed benign fibrous tissue. is this a common finding?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fibrous changes is often because of scar formation so that is not something to be worried about especially knowing that what are more concerning were not there. It just means there was injury and the fibrous tissue was due to scarring secondary to the injury.
