I would move to the most healthy diet we know. The DASH diet. Should help in 2-4 weeks if it is related to diet.

#1 stress needs to be relieved, #2: avoid spicy and fried foods and #3: take antacid preparation which contain simethicone (mylanta) 15-20 cc before each meal and at bedtime for a short period (1-2 weeks) then stop when symptoms resolve. One principle you should keep in your mind: do not worry about anything, i.e. health issue in your case, that is beyond of your control, only follow doc's orders.
