Colon cancer is uncommon in your thirties, although there is some evidence the average age for getting colon cancer is decreasing in the US, for unknown reasons at this time. Currently, we begin screening for colon cancer at age 45 if a patient is asymptomatic and does not have a family history of colon cancer or colon polyps. If you have weight loss or bleeding, you should be seen immediately.

No it is not. But if you have a family history then a checkup startarting age 35yrs is recommended
