A 46-year-old female asked about a female:

My 7 yr old neck pulsates. was told it is a carotid bruit. heart ultrasound normal. was told that it is a heart murmur. is that normal? any advice as to what to do next?

If there are no other signs or symptoms, the normal echo is reassuring. Watch for signs of shortness of breath or dizziness. Keep your child well hydrated. Please follow up with your Cardiologist.
