Treated for strep/ear infection on 11/18. throat and ears still painful and swollen. throat is bright red,tonsils swollen. should i return to doctor or is this just something running its course . will add i was sick a few days before deciding to go?

Any bacterial infection, once treated with appropriate antibiotics, should show significant inprovement or resolution. Did you take all of the medication? Follow up with your prescribing Dr for a reevaluation, as there may be resistance to the antibiotic.
