A member asked:

If i had covid am i immune to it after i recovered from it and will i have natural antibodies to protect me from getting covid again?

Not necessarily. Many have had covid several times since it appeared. You may have antibodies that will protect some from the worst features of covid, but never consider yourself fully immune. This virus mutates and strains emerge that will likely continue to circle the globe like seasonal flu.

Agree with Dr. Ferguson. It is important that you get vaccination against the more recent strains - Currently, the dominant variant nationwide is BA.5. and prior infection and/or vaccination may not protect against this strain.
