Urine tests are very accurate. A blood test can be neg if done too early. Not related to your cyst.

Blood test is more accurate than urine test. If you had sex since you last period and missed your period by 4-5 days and the blood test was negative, you are not pregnant. Urine test can give a false signal if the test is not done in strict compliance with the instructions. If the test is not read within the prescribed time period, if will give a false positive result.
