Had sex october 28th.. followed by pink-rustic spotting.. took pregnancy test nov 6 had an unusually short period took an opk test on predicted ovulation date this month. ovulation test negative every single day. am i pregnant? no cervical mucus rn?

You should do the urine test again. The 6 Nov test was too soon, only 8th day after the sexual encounter; however, I doubt the possibility of pregnancy based on your history.

Conception occurs within day or so of the sex. It takes about 3 weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG for a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. If the result is negative repeat the test in 4-5 days. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully.
