High IgM is caused by certain Lymphoid disorders. It is often asymptomatic but can increase with time. So a serial monitoring is required in order to check for a hidden lymphoma. I would advise you to be under the care of a Hematologist who can monitor you condition every 4-6 monthly. No diet or exercise can lower the IgM levels. For further advice, send us more details of your medical history.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it would have helped to know more. How high is IgM? Is is monoclonal? Do you have lymphoma? IgM is not usually associated with multiple myeloma. Wish you good health!
