Bright red blood is an indication of tissue injury. The description sounds like the origin could be a simple scratch or abrasion of the tissues. If the amount of blood is minimal, the structure may self-heal over a few days. If the blood volume is enough to fill a pad & continues a visit to your doc is indicated. The natural vaginal tissue & mucus left alone should allow a small scratch to heal.
