Plenty of hugs and attention work well. As long as the fever is under 102 F and the kid feeds okay and plays some no treatment is needed. If the kids' fever is high ibuprofen up to every 6-8 hours is helpful. If the kid spooks your 'mommy' sense, have the kid evaluated.

Nasal saline spray is often effective in reducing congestion and post nasal drip. If your daughter is breathing comfortably without tugging or wheezing, continue to encourage fluids and observe.
