Due to abdominal pain, i had a ct scan today and the doctor skipped over this finding "there is heterogeneity throughout the hepatic parenchyma. in addition, there is periportal edema." what does this mean? should i be concerned?

This finding is demonstrative of liver pathology which could be cirrhosis, fatty infiltration or scattered malignancy. Consult a hepatologist or gastroenterologist for evaluation. Appropriate testing will be ordered.
