Nasal saline spray may be helpful in reducing nasal congestion. The underlying cause of the congestion should be evaluated. Allergic rhinitis is one consideration. Avoid dust, mold, smoke and other possible triggers. Watch for signs of an allergic reaction, including difficulty breathing. Allergy testing may be helpful. A virtual consult with Healthtap is available.
