A member asked:

2 ct w/ contrast scans 5 months apart. each time there was a stable solitary 13mm periaortic/ retroperitoneal lymph node. first report used the term periaortic and second used the term " mildly enlarged retroperitoneal" node. is this normal size?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All imagining results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, what you described is consistent with benign lymph nodes. Wish you good health!
