Natural first: I find it helpful to try some natural foods to firm a kids stools if they will take them. Applesauce or apples, bananas and rice cereal are all helpful in infants. Avoid any juices as they usually worsen the runs.Older kids can tolerate steamed rice, bananas, applesauce, noodles (for energy) and dry toast. There are some medications out there but i rarely use them.
