A member asked:

What should i do if my pinkie finger snaps back into place on its own after it gets dislocated from the socket?

If it seems completely normal after returning to its proper position, no discoloration, no tingling, normal touch sensation, then you’re lucky. Just keep an eye on it to be sure it doesn’t dislocate again on its own. If anything seems the least bit abnormal, call your doctor or go to urgent care or ER to address possible nerve or blood flow compromise.

You should be relieved and figure out what you did to cause this dislocation so it doesn't occur again. If this problem continues, than see an orthopedic specialist.
