A member asked:

How can i get rid of a painless clicking sound in right hip when extending my right leg?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I don't know if you can. The noise is most likely harmless and could be caused by motions of ligaments or tendons moving over a bony protrusion with no pathology being present. If you have associated hip pain, then an inflammatory problem would be a likely cause of the clicking sound. An orthopedic surgeon can advise you further.
