My doctor said not to worry about my sharp stabbing pains on the top left side of my head. she said it could be neuralgia. however this is not true as i read online this causes pain in back of head, neck and face only. could be tumour maybe?

Your description of painful events is not the typical presentation of a brain tumor, and the diagnosis of neuralgia is but one possibility. Another consideration might include a migraine variant. See a neurologist.

Tumor is unlikely. It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor, preferably a neurologist. Wish you good health!
