I went into chlorine water yesterday and accidentally swallowed some of it. this morning i woke up coughing, and difficulty breathing and chest tightness. could it have trigged asthma?? should i worry? how long does it stay in the system for?

Many people swallow some chlorine while swimming and have little after effects. Asthma is not one of them, drink lots of water, and contact PCP if symptoms continue after a few days.

Although, I have asthma. I have been having frequent episodes chest tightness, difficulty breathing, and feeling like I am suffocating. Everytime I have imaging done it shows atelectasis in different areas of my lungs that isn't going away. Why?
