What is a cheaper and safe alternative to nifedipine 10 mgs?

It all has to do with the reasons for using nifedipine, which is an older antihypertensive, sometimes used for other reasons. A newer version in same class would be Amlodipine, for price has to with insurance coverage, relatively cheap. Best would be to run it by your current prescriber as well.
