I went on a 17mi hike through snow/river crossings on the way back the sun went down i was crossing a river and fell in temperature was below freezing hiked the last 5 miles to the car its been 24 hrs. i still feel cold deep down. hypothermia?

That sounds like quite a trek. Assuming you've stayed in a warm environment since this episode, are eating and drinking normally, and have no frostbite, then hypothermia is no longer a threat. There is a good chance you were hypothermic for at least that last five miles but that's something you recover from in minutes to a few hours once you warm up. 20 year old bodies have remarkable stamina
