A member asked:

In first aid we learn untreated shock can be deadly; in a case where someone has broken an arm or something and is experiencing those same shock symptoms (cold, clammy, high hr), what type of shock would that be, and is it really that dangerous?

When we diagnose that a patient is in shock we see those signs & symptoms that you describe but they must be accompanied by a serious decrease in blood pressure to below 90 systolic. This is called cardiovascular collapse as well.
