Doxycycline is usually taken twice a day then taking it 12 hours apart is ideal you do not need to strictly adhere. Time frame should be fine within 12+/-2 hours, as long as you take twice a day. Nausea is a common side effect of doxycycline so you should eat something when taking this antibiotic unless you are taking a special formula which requires taking on an empty stomach.
