A very thin layer of a low strength hydrocortisone cream (0.5%) applied up to 2x daily may help. Higher strength hydrocortisone can cause thinning of the skin. Using a moisturizer can also help. While you are at its re-wash any clothing affected by that fabric softener as any clothing from that load can trigger other parts of your skin if you wear the material.
