The main cause of strong vaginal odor is bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria, but sometimes is an STD. BV responds to antibiotics, especially metronidazole. However, BV also can go along with other STDs like gonorrhea, chlamydia, or trichomonas. See a doctor soon for diagnosis and STD testing, and for treatment advice. Good luck.
