A member asked:

I have some acetaminophen-cod that expired in 2010. is it still effective or should i just pitch it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pitch it: Some drugs become less effective with time. Others can degrade into harmful substances. It is best not to use any medication that is more then 1-2 months past its expiration date. Many communities have programs for proper disposal of outdated drugs. Please check with your town-hall. Do not flush them or put in regular garbage.
