What kind of diseases or other health conditions can a gastric emptying test show? is the radioactive tracer safe?

Does not detect disease. Detects if gastric emptying is OK. If not then the Dr's task is to think about what might be causing the problem and then treat the cause. I would discuss with the Dr who ordered the test.
