Small red bump at the end of appendectomy incision 8 weeks post op. anything of concern? it does not hurt. are infections common this far out if my incision was fully closed?

As the wound heals and the scar tissue develops, there may be bumps, discoloration and other skin abnormalities. this reflects the growth of granulation (scar tissue) and the remodeling of the wound as it heals. Infections typically show as red areas (not bumps) that spread outward and discharge pus.
