A member asked:

Since my stress induced tia last june, it been hard. i'm always numb. memory is always foggy. my spinal is fine but i have 4 to 5 mm irregularities in my white matter. he says the migraines cause the holes and the holes cause migraines. what gives?

Will try to sort this out, but vague and confusing. Migraine does cause white matter T2 lesions, but they are not "holes", and this needs clarification. Classical migraine plus smoking, and female hormones can cause strokes and TIAs in women. We can address this more thoroughly via a virtual consult (www.connect@healthtap.com), and provide recommendations perhaps.
