Bilateral conjunctivitis for 4 weeks now. some purulent discharge esp. in the morning. ofloxacine+gentamicin eye drops didnt help. swab was taken 36h after stopping antibiotics - too early to be accurate? no chlamydia found. suggestions on the cause?

bacterial conjunctivitis cannot last 4 weeks. More than likely you have conjunctivitis medicamentosa from over use of antibiotics. Have you seen an Ophthalmolgist?
