: IF you were truly exposed to HIV (high risk event like unprotected anal sex with a known infected partner), the PEP you took is 80-90% likely to be effective in preventing HIV. Other kinds of sexual exposure are far lower risk. Probably all will be well, but you'll need HIV testing through at least 6 weeks after last dose of PEP. Good luck.
