The commonest cause of LVH is untreated or poorly treated hypertension. Other common causes are aortic & mitral valve disease. If LVH is allowed to worsen the heart muscle dilates and weakens with eventual development of congestive heart failure. The job of you and your physician is to treat the cause of LVH so it doesn't worsen & it may actually improve. Those T wave changes are nonspecific.
