If the the stone obstructs the flow of urine from the kidney to the bladder, you most definitely feel intense pain. It all really depends on the size of the stone. Since your other kidney would not have an obstruction and allow urine to pass into the bladder you will still be able to urinate. See a urologist for further guidance.

If the stone is moving down it is a good sign. Stay under the care of a Urologist who will monitor the stone movement and wont let anything bad happen to you. Drink plenty of water and look for the stone every time you pee. Good luck
