What specifically is bad about screen time? is it bad for a child's eyes or is the issue psychological? could i let my child watch a video of someone reading or of an aquarium? how is this different from reading to them or letting them stare at fish?

Depends on the content. The draw to fantacy land where the kid projects themselves inside the action of a standard film displaces reality. Training films and those whose content teaches a specific idea are less a problem. A child that remains sitting for an extended period loses the time they can spend in productive exercise that builds their body strong to serve for a long life.

Screen ime refers to any form of electronic screen, including cell phones, DVDs, computer or TV screens. There is improved vision if a child plays outdoors and focuses on near and far objects. Try to limit screen time to two hours or less per day. Vision screening at your Pediatrician's office at the age of 3 years and older are performed.
