My big toe had one week ago had some pain and swelling until some pus drained from it. the pain and swelling went away but my toe around the nail is red . i do epson salt soaks and neosporin but the redness doesnt go away. no pain at all?

Paronychia (inflammation around the nail) Inflammation at the tip of great toe is often found in individuals with ingrown toenail. You seem to be in a partially healed state. I would recommend a short course of oral antibiotics to clear up the residual subacute infection.
