I was diagnosed with pmr in emergency room went to rheumatologist and she wants to put me on prednisone before even doing any tests...i have a buldging disk in neck and degenerative disk disease. should i get second opinion??

PMR is a clinical diagnosis with limited tests and blood work involved in diagnosis. Would suggest giving a try with recommended treatment until scheduled followup. Make sure you mention your current known conditions At follow up so that your rheumatologist can comment on them. You can always obtain a second opinion in case unhappy with your doc, however would suggest giving it a try.
