Scars occur when the skin or mucuc membrane has been disrupted to a large degree and the healing forms new tissue to fill in the defect. Was your outbreak particularly bad? I would continue to cover the area with a moisturizing, emollient cover- aquaphor, vaseline and give it time to properly heal. Most scars reshape and fade over time.

Recurrent genital HSV2 outbreaks rarely scar. Three days is too soon to judge -- after the typical 10-14 day healing period, probably ther will be no scar. Have you considered daily Valtrex to prevent outbreaks? If only 2-3 per year, treating each time may be best. If more often, continuous Rx is very effective in preventing outbreaks, and also helps protect sex partners from your HSV2.
