No: But the IGM could tell you if you have an acute infection.

Slightly perhaps: In an acute infection, the IgM is elevated but the IgG will get elevated often. However the IgG level may fluctuate somewhat with time. However even with a protective IgG level to HSV1, it does not completely protect you from an outbreak.
