You are correct, they are tori and harmless. Only need to have them removed if you are making a full denture. See an oral surgeon for an evaluation and cost estimate if you really want them removed.

These bony growths are normal for many people but not a problem to be worried about. Non cancerous, can be removed by an oral surgeon if they irritate you, especially when eating. Have them removed if you feel that they are unsightly, or bother your tongue.

About 1/4 of all humans have tori. Benign. What you have may be boney exostoses, as they are on outside rather than inside. Can sometimes enlarge to cause problems making dentures.
