If both of us have hpv how can it not be passed back and forth over the years? married couple 11 years. if it cant be passed back and forth and im vaccinated will i not test positive for it ever? please any info is welcomed?

The virus is not active most of the time, only when HPV DNA can be detected. The reasons for occasional reactivation are unknown, but before that HPV cannot be transmitted. Also, your regular partner probably was already infected with your HPV strain and immune to catching it again. (Immunity is more effective preventing new infection than reactivation.) Your test will become negative again.

Not everyone positive for HPV develops symptoms. vaccination helps body develop immunity against developing of the disease. So positivity does not mean you have the disease. . Enjoy life- you will be fine.
