A member asked:

What would cause bleeding when you do not have ovaries? they were removed 12 years ago. only the ovaries were removed everything else is still in place?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The ovaries generated two main materials, the eggs and the hormones that support the reproductive process. The Uterus is where the blood comes from. If you are taking hormone replacement therapy, the uterus will still respond, and menses may result. Please discuss your pattern of symptoms with your gynecologist. An evaluation may be needed and modification treatment needed.
