A member asked:

Constipation is fixed most the time with water and fiber (supplements as well as food. i can't eat enough with food alone,) fit test is negative for blood. is that a good thing? if i had colon cancer would i be constipated no matter what with blood?

Obstructing tumors of the colon do cause constipation. A negative FIT test doesn't rule out colon cancer. Colonoscopy is the gold standard to do so. My sense is that you don't have colon cancer but have constipation type irritable bowel syndrome. There is medication to treat this, but I recommend a consultation with a gastroenterologist for diagnosis, treatment & follow-up care.
