A member asked:

I had a bypass surgery 6 weeks ago, and i have been dizzy all day long, every day. tried several things, like stopping meds, as doctor requested, but nothing has worked. can they doctor have given me too much. this seems permanent?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Since dizziness can be caused by multiple etiologies, including anemias, thyroid issues, and postural blood pressure changes, a full re-evaluation may be warranted. An otolaryngologist might consider a video-nystagmogram to sort out central vs peripheral problems. A neurologist might get involved to assess potential brain or spinal cord pathology. Doubt surgery or medications are the cause.
