many possibilities: I'm afraid there's not enough information to offer useful advice. History of bypass indicates that he has vascular disease but may not be related to his current pain. Does he have fever, diarrhea, vomiting, tenderness, loss of appetite? Considerations include gastritis, acid reflux, gall stones, appendicitis, peptic ulcer disease, infections, and many other possibilities. Good luck.

Unusual: It is not common to have abdominal pain after cabg. It could be due to some medications or something totally unrelated. Try some simple over the counter meds before going to doctor.
