As i stated i'm going on 10 yrs in and out of the hospital bcuz i was ignorant to the fact that i was damaging my lungs. please don't judge me. i need help and am ready to throw everything i have in the toilet and start methadone is this a good start?

Absolutely, talk to your doc about finding resources in the community. Either methadone or Suboxone are used in the maintenance treatment of opiate addiction. However the most important changes involve lifestyle and entourage and many times relocation helps. You are on the right path.
